The Heritage Days Programme (09/07/2026)

The Heritage Days come to Kraainem! To mark the occasion, the non-profit organisation Discover Kraainem is organising tours of four protected or listed buildings in Kraainem that are owned by private individuals:

- the Cloître de la Visitation, a protected building, at 5 Avenue Hébron (including areas that are not usually open to the public);

Three private homes that have never been open to the public:

- the listed 18th-century farmhouse at 92 Rue Vanhove;

- the protected Art Deco house at 37 Avenue des Bouleaux;

- the listed Art Deco house at 331 Avenue Baron A. d’Huart. You will also have the opportunity to attend a talk on modern architecture by the architect Bruno Erpicum, the owner of the house.

All activities are guided tours with a group. To take part, you must register. This is possible from 20 August onwards on the Discover Kraainem website (https://www.discoverkraainem.be), where you will find all the details. Don’t delay, as places are limited!

This year’s theme in Flanders is ‘In Good Hands’. With this choice, the public authorities wish to congratulate, express their gratitude to and recognise all owners of heritage buildings who maintain, look after on a daily basis, restore and often invest significant sums of money in properties that belong to them but which are also of great cultural significance to the whole community. By agreeing to share with the public a space that they could have kept for themselves, these owners are demonstrating that they are aware of their responsibilities towards the community. Discover Kraainem would like to thank them wholeheartedly for their openness and generosity.
